IMRAN`S RALLY: SOME QUESTION

IMRAN`S RALLY: SOME QUESTION

IMRAN`S RALLY: SOME QUESTION

ALL PTI posters, banners, television shows about the party have Imran Khan. Where are other leaders, professionals and visionaries of the PTI? Why don’t we hear about their plans and visions on the media? Imran Khan aside, the party appears to be a pack of cards.
Imran has often offered to broker a peace deal with the Taliban. If the Taliban trust him so much and are influenced by him, why doesn’t he tell them to stop blowing up girls’ schools, shrines and mosques of other sects?
No begging bowl and a self-reliant Pakistan are excellent goals. But how it would be achieved is a big question. The ‘economic policy’ section of the PTI manifesto also consists of just goals like ‘implement a long-term debt management strategy’, ‘reduce non-development government expenditures’, ‘a water conservation and equitable distribution plan’.
This plan and that system, where and what are they? How will they be implemented?
Imran Khan must show us the plans, talk details and talk numbers to lend these promises some credibility. And where are the experts who have the competence to make this happen? What is their record?
Being eager to cooperate with the Taliban and vociferously opposing any operation against them, what will be Imran’s strategy if ‘Mullah Radio’ comes back and starts taking over cities, closing down barber shops and burning down cinema halls? Besides, how will the Taliban react if they see artistes singing in PTI conventions?
In many speeches of the PTI, it has been promised to make Pakistan an ‘Islamic welfare state’. The meaning of ‘welfare state’ is more or less the same universally. The confusion is over the term ‘Islamic state’. There are dozens of sects and hundreds of conflicts within each one of them over interpretations. Will there be an ‘all-beard policy’, punishments by amputations, stoning, etc? The last version of ‘Islamic state’ introduced saw public lashings, flourishing narcotics and arms trade, demise of the film industry, and the gift of a ‘hell of a life’ for our neighbour Afghanistan.
Please, clarify what exactly the PTI means by the goal ‘Islamic state’ and what actions will be classified as ‘un-Islamic’.
The PTI says, ‘Down with the West’. It is a thrilling slogan. What are the contingency plans for the short-term trade-related fallouts? What does the PTI have to offer to allay the fears of exporters?
I think that if the PTI can come up with some reasonable explanations to the many objections being raised by the public, it can very easily multiply its vote bank.
