PPP will be fully prepared for next elections: Zardari

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said that the party will participate in the 2018 elections fully prepared and the workers will start being active from today.
Addressing a delegation from Sargodha division at Bilawal House Lahore, the former president said that under the current government, problems of the people have multiplied and the nation is troubled due to inflation, lack of jobs and economic mismanagement.
Zardari said that the PPP believes in the nation as it has always considered people being the source of power. “This is why, whenever the party comes into power, the first priority is to solve the problems of the people,” he said.
He said that in the past, there have been numerous allegations on Benazir Bhutto that she used her position as the prime minister to give people jobs.
He vowed the PPP will continue to provide jobs and will create job opportunities for youngsters once again. He said that the PPP’s manifesto is justice for the downtrodden masses.
Earlier, the spiritual custodians of Toba Tek Singh Khurram Gilani, Bari Imam Muqaddas Kazmi and Sang Jani Tahir Sajjad called on the former president at Zardari House Lahore and assured their support to the party.
PPP Punjab leaders Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed, Amir Fida Paracha, Tasnim Qureshi, Aslam Madhyana, Mehreen Anwar Raja and Jahan Ara Watto were also present on the occasion.
