Brother, I discovered ‘Misyar’ little more than 10 years back during my official visit to one of Aramco facilities in Riyadh. My eyes picked up little bit detail that time and later I discussed this matter with my few Saudis friends. The ‘Misyar’ is little different than ‘Mutaah’ and I know the detail. Misyar is not a periodical companionship or marriage; it is a favor to the women and also to control the Zana. Some of their close relations know about this arrangement but not all the friends and relatives.

I will explain in detail if we got a chance to write more. There is another type of arrangement for the young girls and boys attending college/universities out side of kingdom or they going together on pleasure trip, that one is called ‘MISYAF’.

There are lots of things peoples of our region don’t know or expect which are common in Arabs. I know quite a bit about ‘Muttah’ and my Saudi friends visiting Iraq, Sirya or Iran used to make conditional agreements.

Saudis turn to ‘Misyar’ marriage to beat inflation

By Souhail Karam

RIYADH: Khaled never thought a form of temporary marriage would open the door to his happily-ever-after. The 25-year-old Saudi security guard opted to marry Zeinab, also a Saudi, through a Misyar contract — a kind of marriage under which couples often live separately but get together regularly.
