This is for Action Research Forum of public wisdom;
The author is presenting specific Alvittes indispensability theory for Syrian dynasty, there are many rulers in Arab world who believe the doctrine of indispensability which can compete the global Tsunami of some form of democracy. Her argument is around the same, for personal survivability certain Abs were hopping in forms of ISHATARIKA to imperialisms all that was two big powers confrontation in Arab world to harbor interest of western allies. On the ground their masses are still deprived of education, technology and subjugated to sectarian armed forces. There is no specific revolutionary pyramid except flourishing vertical social corruption and luxuries beyond limits.
So far the authors premises of Indian starvation holocaust is concerned, this is repeated in multiplicity during colonial rules, while the western allies stress more on Israel holocaust by Hitler, that has no sound footings on the ground except by hearsay. Another holocaust in India which is known as starving Bengalis during the WWII when rice producing farms failed to cultivate and Bengalis were forced to eat wheat which caused epidemic of stomach diseases more deaths than Israelis holocaust.
The rulers need to visualize much beyond time before enemies sword falls over them by internal upsurge, as it was true in Libya, Egypt, Tunis, and others and now in Syria. Ask the rulers what were their preparation for such Tsunami, depriving a class for personal luxury because the GOD is with them like Bush dialogue.
God bless.

On the Eve of August 14, Dilip Hiro wrote in Yale Global: The Syrian imbroglio is a sectarian one, produced by a mix of age-old conflict between Sunnis and Shias, and an old imperialist policy of divide-and-rule. The 1947 partitioning of British India into India and Pakistan eased communal violence dramatically…. The Britain conceded a homeland for Indian Muslims….In Syria, a viable solution lies in partition. (http://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/partition-solution-syria).
